Do you think it's possible that older pastors don't know it might be interpreted as flipping off the congregation? (When their glasses slip down their nose) I saw one pastor do this repeatedly and very slowly.

Well, just becuase you saw ONE pastor do it, doesn't mean that all do that. Don't take it so seriously.
And no, I don't think that pastors know that.

my grandpa is a flippin cool preacher im tellin ya~! he dont wear glasses. plus, why would this pastor not get glasses that fit and if he used his middle finger to push them up he must be old and not realize it. odd question, lol> by people

I do this. It seems to straighten out the easiest and quickest and its the middle of my fingers going to the middle of my face, maybe a connecton there in the anatomy. But i thought about what one may think as i do it~lol

My Dad did this all the time! His five kids laughed hysterically each and every time he did this...he would say, what? I mean the man was the leader of our town!
We never could teach the old dog a new trick, but we still laugh that he could not understand what we were saying. LOL
