Could be a number of things. Stressing about it will make it worse. YOu really should see a doctor in case it's something very serious. Better to be safe than sorry & since you're having them so frequently, it's just a good idea. Some things that MIGHT be causing the headaches: * need glasses (need eye exam) * migraines * stress * wisdom teeth * lighting (fluorescent lights anytime or bad light when reading) * computer eye strain (too often &/or screen glare) * sinuses/allergy (you can develope allergies even if you've not had them before) * something serious going on inside your head (see dr.) * caffeine or lack of (if you have caffeine & get hooked, then stop, you will get horrid headaches for about 5 days) * other

Well it depends a headache can be caused by migraines, tension,
TMJ. Not eating right, eye sight. Make a DR. appt. and let him
know how long you been experiencing the headaches. And he
can prebsribe you something better then over the counter
medications. I have migraines and I've tried several. Some
I was allergic and some woked better then others. The only thing
is It makes you sleepy, which I don't like.

Massaging ur temples can help relax it. Or take a tylenol with warm water (not cold!) and take a rest in a moderately tempatured quiet room. Try lying in ur bed if u can't nap so u dont move ur head around too much to make it ache more. At camp, I was taught to drink lots & lots & lots of water if i ever had a headache, didn't realli work for me but it could to you.

On your face is two pressure points, just outside each eye socket. Sit down (I have had some people fall down when I did this) Take one finger of each of the spots that feel like little dents and apply pressure, rather hard, for about 15 seconds then let go. You will feel relief that should improve your headache.

If it is a headache because of lack of sleep or stress, then sleep.
If it is a migraine (a chemical imbalance) try diet coke or diet Pepsi as they contain aspartame.
Also, the head hurts when there's not enough oxygen in the blood. So take a pill to widen the arteries in your brain. They also reduce the risk of heart attack. But best is to exercise as it will increase intake of oxygen to deliver to the brain.

Imitrex, Excedrin, goody powders, Motrin, Tylenol

You can also try another approach: grasp the meaty part between your index finger and thumb. Hold for 30 seconds. This is a form of acupressure. This may work for you.

Also, rub the essential oil of lavender or eucalyptus on your temples very lightly. This may help too.

Good luck to you!
