paracetamol is purely a pain killer. It will not reduce inflammation of any sort. Inflammation of the skin needs a topical cream to be treated properly. Show it to the chemist if you are able and they will give you something appropriate.
On the other hand, if you have any pure Lavender essential oil, mix three drops with some cool water (or iced water if there is heat in the inflammation) and apply regularly. This is very very good - try it.

Ibuprofen is an NSAID (None Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug). That could be worth a try, but what is the problem with seeing a GP and getting some advice and possibly a prescribed medication?

Paracetamol will not reduce inflammation.
Other anti-inflammatories are aspirin and ibuprofen. It would depend on the reason for the skin being inflamed whether these would be the best solution or not. I would speak to your doctor.

Paracetamol (INN) (IPA: [pærəˈsitəmɒl, -moʊl, -ˈsɛtə-]) or acetaminophen (USAN), is a common analgesic and antipyretic drug that is used for the relief of fever, headaches, and other minor aches and pains.
Ibuprofen (INN) (IPA: [ˈaɪbjuprofɛn]) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) widely marketed under various trademarks including Act-3, Advil, Brufen, Motrin, Nuprin, and Nurofen. It is used for relief of symptoms of arthritis, primary dysmenorrhoea, fever, and as an analgesic, especially where there is an inflammatory component.
Please see the webpages for more details on Paracetamol and Ibuprofen.

It is unfortunate that you don't give more details of the ailment. Without this you really cannot get any accurate advice. All the advice at the moment is pure speculation.
My advice is the same. If you are meaning bruising or swelling when you say inflammation then you could look at a herbal cream called 'Arnica'.
As with all medicines please read the instructions before use.

You need to find out what is causing the inflammation first but you could try Piriton antihistamine. See your doctor or ask the pharmacist.

Any drug that states that its a NSAID which stand for non steroidal anti inflamatory drug, one of the strongest is called Syndol, thats non prescription but i think (not 100% sure) that you can only buy it in pharmacies. You dont state where you are but if your in the states look for a new one called aleve, there very effective.

Ask your pharmacist. If it is the skin that is inflamed, why? Ibuprofen has anti-inflammatry properties which is better than paracetamol. But a cream would possibly work better on your skin.
