I have been married 15 years and the only time I didn't wear my wedding ring when it became to small for my finger and I had to wait 2 weeks for it to get sized, otherwise it does never come of my finger. My husband wears his wedding ring if he is able to,if not on the weekends or when he is going out.The reason why he may not wear his wedding ring at work is because he is a builder and some times wearing a wedding ring or any ring can be a hazard.

I like to wear my engagement ring and wedding ring all the time if I can, but in the summer they sometimes get too tight. My rings are special to me and I like people to know I'm married. Also, my diamond is beautiful! My husband picked it out himself and spent a while finding just the right one. My husband wears his ring too, because he likes people to know he's married and I think it just makes him feel good. He works in computer support so he's not about to get his finger ripped off.

I've been married for 23 years and have very seldom worn my wedding ring....I absolutely hate the feel of rings on my fingers. My wife does make not anything out of it (bless her heart). I know I'm married and I don't need a ring to remind me. I have however been hit on several times in part I think because I was not wearing a ring. I wore my ring all the time in my first marriage and I cheated on her all the time.....ring or not. A ring is just jewelry with no mojo attached to it......

I am not married, but wanted to let you know my Dad did not wear his because he was a mechanic and it would get crushed.
I work as an Occupational Therapist and had one married man as a patient who wore his ring coming down stairs at his house. He got his hand caught on the banister and it tore his finger off. That is why most men do not wear there rings when they work in hard construction jobs.

My husband and I always wear our rings unless it is uncomfortable or unsafe. I got a rash under my wedding rings so I wore them on a necklace until summer was over. He does the same thing when driving race car or doing mechanics. The rings are a symbol of our love and COMMITMENT for us. To not wear them is insulting. I love my rings and my husband, I always WANT to wear my rings.

My husband does not wear one. He lost two already, so I refused to buy him another one. This, however, makes me sad. I don't wear mine all the time because they bug me. I have a skin condition (not from the rings), which wearing the rings too much bothers.

Not all do. Valid reasons are many. If it is a man, it could have to do with his job. i.e. electrical, mechanical, etc. In these jobs, a ring or watch can be very hazardous. My first husband (A.F. jet mechanic) carried his on his key ring. My 2nd. husband (auto-body man) did the same for the same reasons. I don't wear mine because I have gained weight. It was getting too tight on my finger & I did not want to have it cut in order to remove it. I don't want another one as that is the one I was married with & it has special meaning. My husband agrees.

My husband takes his off when he is working in the yard or doing heavy maintenance in the house he has also taken it off when we have gone swimming in the sea for fear of loosing it. I have a friend and her husband works in a factory that does not allow jewelry because it may get caught in the machine. Mine does not come off unless I am putting on hand cream then it goes right back on.
