You could always try it. The one really important thing to remember is not to get anorexic. So long as you know where you want your body and it isn't too fat OR too skinny, you can experiment all you want.

Start with BMI (Body Mass Index). Google it if you do not know what it is. Set yourself a BMI goal of between 21 and 24.
I vote for Gill T 's suggestion. It is the best. It is a perfect formula.
Your diet plan appears right, but add fish to the meal. You must have omega-3 and omega-6 and 9. You get that from salmon, talapia and other types. Stay away from shell fish like shrimps and lobster. No breaded fish filet of anykind. You MUST have boiled or poached eggs at least once a week. Milk? 4 glasses.
Oh, one more thing: Do not, repeat do not weight yourself every day or everyother day. In fact, forget about the weigh scale. Your clothes will tell you whether you are losing weight or not.
Been there, done that. I am keeping it off for the past 4 years. I will never go back to be overweight again. That's a promise I gave myself and I am so far at it with a plan similar to yours with some modifications as I have suggested.

That actually sounds very healthy. You are getting in all of the healthy food groups, you are eating breakfast and you are eating snacks to keep your metabolism up. I am not sure of your weight now so it depends on how fast you would lose the weight. If you were overweight and usually overeat or heat unhealthy things, I imagine you could lose quite a bit.
Some people might suggest:
Drink lots of water with this diet
Add fruit to the oatmeal or add a fruit snack during the day
Make sure the granola bar is actually healthy and low sugar/low calories. For example, Nutra Grain bar are FULL of sugar.
Good luck! Be Healthy!

Weight loss suggestions can be very tricky. Each person is different. We all burn calories differently. For the best information on weight loss, go to www.sparkpeople.com. You can find out how many calories a day your body needs, and how many calories each food is. There's diaries, exercises, expert trainers and dieticians, plus many groups you can get involved with, according to your needs, where you can post every day and get encouragment (you get points there too!). With what you've got there, it sounds pretty meager. You need a balanced diet, including fruits, veggies, grains, meats, dairy and oils. The diet you have here is lacking fruit, more veggies, and liquids. You have to be careful and not eat too llttle, as you will begin to lose muscle mass. Check out that site and see what they recommend. It's free. I've been a member for several months and love it. <*)))><

You would loose weight doing that. I'm not sure if that is enough calories to eat if you are going to do that much exercise. If you do eat more, make it earlier in the day. Eating close to bedtime doesn't help matters. Eat some fruit along with your oatmeal, too. And make sure to get enough protein. Most people only need about 40 grams of protein a day.

Don't starve yourself: eat a balanced diet. Fruit and the weight control oatmeal for breakfast, salad, fruit, and a honey/peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat bread for lunch, and a stirfry with tofu and fruit for dinner. Water, orange juice, or fortified soymilk as a snack or with your meals would be great! Remember: eat a variety of foods! Also I recommend talking to your doctor or talk to a dietician.

Sounds like your proposal would come to 800 calories or less/day. If you take in 800 or fewer calories a day, your body goes into starvation mode and hordes calories taken in, does not burn carbs for energy and begins to break down protein (muscle) for energy. This throws the body into ketoacidosis - if you have any underlying physical problems, or remain in ketoacidosis for any length of time, your health will seriously suffer.
As much as we all hate it, the only safe way to lose weight is to sensibly decrease your intake (talk to your doctor or try weight watchers - they are great, well balanced ways) with exercise. Slow weight loss (2#/wk) is most likely to to stay off.
Anything extreme only leaves you likely to regain it.

No sugar and no fats and eating smaller portions. That is the only way to lose weight for me along with cutting out snacks and never eating after 7pm at night. At least 2 litres of water a day.

No. Your body would go into starvation mode and jealously hold on to every shred of fat still on your frame. Even worse, with the disturbing lack of protein in your diet, most of the weight you would lose would be muscle not fat.
