I hear you! My husband and I have been known to sneak out to the tree house!LOL This way we are close enough to hear if someone needs us but can pull the ladder up so there will be no surprise visitors.

This question is just hilarious.I have 6 kids and to all these idiots on here sayin set a bed time and rules they need to shut up cause they obviously do not have children. My husband and i are trying to figure out this whole thing.I wonder if we just should't have sex any more after we have kids!!!!! I have a 9,7,5,3 and 11 month twin girls so finding time for sex seems almost immpossible. We never make plans for sex to keep things interesting a little kiss here and there maybe a little smack on the butt every now and then, that way when we do get a chance its really great. If you get up to get a drink or somethin in the middle of the night go wake up your husband and go to the couch ,or try waking up a little earlier in the morning, maybe a lunch break at the hotel,i love the whole bathroom and shower idea some one else left,i might try that myself!!! You don't have to forget about sex but you obviously can't have it all the time so in between those lovely times keep it interesting, you know flirty, its good for your relationship. One day they will all be 18 and move out then you can have a sex spree any where you want!!!!

Parents will manage to have sex even when kids are sleeping in the same room. Granted, it may not be the all-out heavy sex session you want, but a more sedate version, but it's sex! The TV or radio makes great cover noise and a lock on the door insures you won't be embarassingly interrupted.

I know kids' perceptions are different these days, but when I was coming up, and got to the age to realize that indeed our parents did have sex, we were not only appalled, but we just KNEW that the number of times our parents did that was exactly equal to the number of kids in the family! Silly, huh?

If you have young children, all the more reason for a standard bedtime, huh? Husbands and wives need time together alone, whether for sex or not. Making sure the kids are out of the way by a certain time each night is not uncommon or irrational, not to mention that proper and regular sleep makes for happier kids in the daytime.

Older kids will usually be plugged into their i-pods or otherwise noisily occupied and won't hear your antics anyway. Knowing what your kids are doing at night may open up your own possibilities.

How old are your children? If they are younger they need to have am earlier bed time. If they are teens or older, they know and don't care. Sorry to tell you but they are not stupid. If they are younger they really don';t notice it. Just use the door lock and use a white noise, a fan or music or something. Most of the time the kids are not going to ask any questions and if they do answer in a way that is appropiate for thier age.

Ours are 6, 3, and 7 months. We pop in a video downstairs for the kids while the baby is napping, find other places to make love, we do it in the laundry room while the dryer is going, in the bathroom is good, the floor (put lots and lots of blankets on the floor) against the wall, over the dresser, or just being quiet, its hard to be quiet sometimes, but sometimes its fun to try and make the other one moan

We have an 8yr old and a 4yr old and we were having the same problem. We all sat down and told them that once they were tucked in and mommy and daddy closed the door it was our quiet time. It took them some time to get the hang of it and for every time they broke the rule and knocked on our door, we took 30 mins. off their "stay up later" time. About the bed... you have to compromise and you might find that the floor is a nice place to have sex on once you put some comforters on it. Also standing up against a wall works... Good luck!

Try to have quieter relations.I have two step kids ages 18 and 12, and they never seem to sleep. We have just learned how to have quiet, passionate lovemaking.
Also, there are ways to make your bed quieter.Take the mattresses off and rock the frame.Wherever the sound is coming from, try to either tighten the joint or spray some WD-40 on it.

Hmmm... as a kid (0-12) I was never allowed UP after 9pm!!

What ever happened to the old stand-by... send the kids to the park or the movie on a Saturday ?

Took me a few years to figure out what folks were up to !!

My Ex and I would mask her screams with the shower !!

Well, if your kids are at the age where they are totally repulsed by the mere thought of their parents having sex, I seriously doubt they will hang out by the door listening. If they are too young to be totally repulsed by the thought of their parents having sex, you get to make up a lame excuse as to why the bed was making noise.

If all else fails, pop in a video, or send them to their rooms, and go have a quickie.

How about giving the grandparents a chance to have a sleep over with their grandchildren

or

Hire a babysitter and check into a motel in the area for the night.
