I have been suffering from severe depression and lust problem since 16. Needless to say, it has been a life of hell for the past 8 years as I am 24 now. The even more frustrating part is I am still struggling, and there is no sign of things getting better.
Despite my unendurable obstacles, I kept on living with a hope that things will get better as I believe a life without hope is as same as death. I am just extremely frustrated and depressed about my current situation.
My life is full of mental tortures, miseries and pains and I can't even lead ordinary life. I tried hard to be free of all these pains, and to become a good person. That is how I was able to stay free from drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex.
Yet, I am still suffering mightily every day from severe depression and lust problem. I don't have rosy picture about life. Yet at the same time, I don't expect life full of mental tortures, pains.
Why did God create me the way I am? Why does He let me endure things I can't endure?

The honest reality? guy is conscious he got here from his father and mom. guy is conscious he had a beginning yet don't have self belief the Bible answer at the same time as others do have self belief in God that created him and the universe. If yet another being round better effective than the God of the Bible the position is the information that he's better effective than God? can't he damage what the present God did? Or what if there is not any different being better than the God of the Bible that the Bible claims? And that the Bible speaks the reality. God continually became and there is not any different like him in any respect. Be properly also.

You blame God; others blame parents. But the truth is that you will have to do what many of us have done. To keep it short I was a victim of a very bad childhood. Therefore I had problems. I read everything I could on psychology. One day I came to this realization that that hurt boy inside me was still there and I was no longer going to blame the people who damaged that little boy. Yes they did wrong but no longer would I blame them. From now on I was captain of my own ship. From now on I was to blame for any failures, not them. That was my turnaround moment. The journey from that point could never have happened without that singular moment. Another thing I learned to do was to control my thoughts. I forced positive truths into my mind when the black wanted to enter. It was tough at first and a real battle, but now there is no battle. I am healed. However, I cannot forget those black days when I even despaired of life. But they are memories. Funny too, because people who know me now would never guess. My mind is sound, smile. or reasonably so. The same can be for you, but the journey is long; I won't kid you there.

God creates us all with our own unique challenges. But none of those challenges are too much for us to take (1 Corinthians 10:13). There's a girl that goes to my church who can barely FUNCTION correctly, yet she has taken her situation and used it to bring glory to God. You can't conquer these problems on your own and I hope you have learned that after 8 years of effort. Give your life to Christ and let Him use you how He desires and things will be better for you. Remember that things will always be hard, but there's an eternity waiting for all of us who believe in Him. If you haven't received Christ into your heart, you need to do so. And pray about your situation, He is listening.

"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted BEYOND WHAT YOU ARE ABLE, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
1 Corinthians 10:13

This verse tells me that God has equipped you mightily (To use your word) to overcome the struggles you now face. When He says that He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, He means that He will NEVER SET YOU UP FOR FAILURE, because there is, "Always a way of escape."

What satan means for evil, God means for good. Remember Joseph who was sold into slavery by his brothers? Remember years later when his brothers went to Egypt and discovered that their brother Joseph was now ruling over Egypt with Pharaoh? They were terrified, but what did Joseph say to his brothers? He said,

"As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive." --- Genesis 50:20

You see? God sometimes allows not so good things to happen to us because He has an even HIGHER CALLING FOR US IN THE FUTURE.

And once you come to a place of surrender, a place where you can fully hand all this affliction over to Jesus Christ, at the foot of the Cross, God will have an AMAZING TESTIMONY in your beautiful life.

God sees your pain and knows your suffering. He has placed all your tears in His bottle (Psalm 56:8) yet He lets you struggle. Why? God is calling you to a higher place. A place that someone like myself is obviously not prepared for because I have not been called to endure what you have endured and may continue to endure.

Your life is beautiful even in its affliction because it is a testimony to the rest of the world. God is doing a good work in you and he would not give you such an amazingly complex and challenging job description if he had not already eqipped you to deal with it.

"BE STILL AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD." and let Him do a mighty work in you that the world might know Him more.
"In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?" (Psalm 56:4)

God bless you and keep you strong. He loves you!

God didn't put this on you. God wants you to be blessed and have peace. "He will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee." Keep your mind focused on Jesus and what He did for you. He want you to have life more abundantly. You should find a good church to get involved in. You should also remember there are people who live in this world that are alot less fortunate than you are. Look at your blessings that you have been given. Are you hungry, homeless, blind, deaf? Missing limbs? Remember there ARE people like what I have just mentioned. Thank God for your trials, they are to make you stronger.
