It really depends on what you disagree with or have in common. Two people can be opposites in the sense that one is really outgoing and the other shy, but they might get along together because of how they treat each other and how they are when they're alone. On the other hand, if two people have different, say, hardcore political views, ideas about getting married or having children, or relationship boundaries, then problems would definitely arise. It helps to have some disagreement between things like movies, food, and music...I mean, you don't want to date a clone of yourself, do you? On the other hand, it's good to like a lot of the same things, because then you can have fun at the same places (seeing certain movies, going to concerts, eating at places you both like).

Common interests are important in long term relationships. You don't have to like or enjoy all of the same things, but you should each be willing to try some of the things the other person enjoys on occasion.

Opposites attract in the begining, but you need someone who will like the same kind of things you do.

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.
