God wants you to know that, "right now, you need to take a break from choosing a path, you are a overwhelmed with too much information, come back to this decision, after you have had time to get away from it for a while".
It is kind of like, you can't see the forest for the trees. You are surrounded by many trees but can't see far enough to tell if you are in a large garden or a huge forest. Don't accept religion, accept God. Religions are paths that can get you closer. They are like training at a spiritual gym (for those that have chosen their spiritual goal), they have disciplines to follow that will make you stronger. What you say sounds like where I have been (long ago, but I won't forget).
Lighten up, just live for a little bit, go to work/school, spend time with your family, laugh & have good clean fun. Once you get a little distance from the "trees" you will, hopefuly, see the "forest" for what it truly is.
Read this part later... (I chose the path that Jesus offered. I believe that we can come close to perfect, but once we make a mistake (bad karma or sin) and hurt someone, no amount of good deeds can completely erase what happened. Jesus is the only one that offers to remove the imperfections.)

I kinda know how you feel. I was Christian for 24 years and I loved God and his son and his church. I was attacked by Baptists, Pentecostals, Methodists and others who feel a need to get converts to their churches. I had to carry a bible around all the time so I could be ready to show scripture to those who tried to tell me I was wrong in my belief.
I kept reading the bible and kept finding all these contradictions and errors and all the pat answers I used to have for these things like all Christians use did not satisfy me anymore.
I did not know where to turn, it is really hard to keep defending something you no longer believed.
I finally chose the pagan path. Wicca more specifically. Now I am much happier as a person and as a pagan, we believe all paths lead to Deity so we do not proselytize. So no more carrying around the bible and no more daily debates with other people over what the bible really says.
I quit going to church 6 years ago and have been Wiccan for 3.

Religious beliefs are some of the most personal beliefs a person can hold. And no one can tell someone else what or how to believe, you must do that yourself.
As was suggested by someone else, give it a rest and stop worrying about it. You'll find your path, but it's one of those things that the harder you look, the less likely you are to find it.
Relax, it will be okay.

I was an Atheist for 50 yrs. and then I was kind of on the fence about God. I knew I needed to know whether or not he existed. So I asked him one day,"Do you really exist?" For about a year I didn't get an answer. And then I had a physical experience with God that just blew me away and removed all doubt of his existence. It wasn't a spiritual experience that could be explained away. But a real physical experience that couldn't be explained away. I just wish everyone could have the kind of experience that I had.
So, don't give up on God...He is real.

my suggestion would be to meditate. set aside all the religious stuff, and focus on the spiritual, find the spiritual structure and path that best fits the truths you understand, and that God has shown you, and work with that. most of the spiritual paths I've read about have their role and their truths. one of them is bound to be appropriate for you.
THEN you can find a religious structure thats compatible with your spiritual views.
it can be hard, sorting out which spiritual things you see as true, and just theorys, ect, sorting out whats what... but its possible. trust your instincts and the abilitys, knowlege, and mind that God gave you.

You are reaching a stage of maturity. Compare each religion with the other namely:
Judaism, christianity and Islam (Dont waste your time with the other useless ways).
When comparing them put in mind the following:
Read from the reliable books of each one and ask scholars from each one and see which one make sence to you and stick to it.

i have doubted my faith, but i also grew up in church so i always knew the truth. if i were you, i'd study religions until you found one that doesn't contradict itself or seem just flat out silly. be sure the study is very thorough, i warn you! some would-be contradictions may not be what they seem. i pray your studies lead you to the truth of God's word! :)

stay away from church and religion. look to your own heart and read your bible to figure out what god wants from you. and if that does not work look into some of the other religions.
i was in the same place that you are now when i was about 16.
Paganism seemed to work for me and i found great peace in it.
look for something that gives you peace and then devote yourself to it completly.

Sounds like you need a vacation.
If you take too many vitamins, you could get sick. It's the same with doctrines. If you get too much of it, it's like too many vitamins. Its pretty potent stuff. Don't give up on prayer, though, even if you give up on religion. Peace, man.

Just know that there is a God out there and do piety to other humans, & be humble to the graces of His. And, He, knows the best.
