Whats your thoughts about steve irwins death???

in my opion I want to live in Australia and save wildlife like he does maybe work at the zoo help out that would be the coolest thing in the world to save wildlife and live up his dream and come together as a nation to save all animals in destress

Country Girl, you SHOULD come and live in Australia!! There are career oportunities at Australia Zoo! I would definately take a job on there, however I am recently a single mum to three children under four with not much support, so it'll will be a while before I could do so. I live half an hour away from the zoo (Bribie Island) and have had ample opportunity to visit there before Steve died, but I took it for granted that he would always be there.

Over the last month I have been feeling very, very sad about this. I feel very sorry for Terri and Bindi, & Robert. I know what it is to grow up without a parent as my mother died when I was 11 years old. My prayers have been sent to her.

Steve represented to me, the true Aussie. One who loved his country, it's people, but especially it's flora and fauna. He, through his shows, has taught me to love animals that I thought I never could, such as the croc. I have always loved animals, but he fostered a more real love iykwim?

Steve, over the last years has bought large tracts of land not only in Queensland, but in other countries in an effort to conserve the wildlife and all their inhabitants.

I feel as though I have lost a loved one. I simply am having a very hard time coming to terms with this.

I have visited the Zoo twice since his death, most recent being last Friday. It is a very beautiful place and the animals are well and truly loved. Daniel sang "He Changed our World", which was very touching. Steve made the Zoo what it is today with the thought that if he was to go, it could go on without him.

I have learnt another lesson from this, is to NEVER take anyone for granted, especially those closest to you.

I believe Steve Irwin lived a great and exciting life. He had a zest for life and all living creatures. I've always planned to visit his zoo, but I havent had the means until recently. I'm sorry I didn't ever get a chance to meet him. I feel terrible for his wife and children and family and friends. If the whole world is mourning him, I can only imagine what and how his family are dealing with this loss. He was a great person.

i actually am no longer a huge fan of Steve Irwins, even with the indisputable fact that it appeared to me that he died doing some thing he loved and that i completely recognize that. I truly have 3 little ones so i'm no longer as "bold" as possibly some human beings yet i imagine that death doing some thing you adore, which also made many others chuffed is a nobel reason.

The death of Steve Irwin has touched so many people. I read in a newspaper that a small child was trying to explain it to her Dad and said "Even the crocodiles are crying" I think that is a beautiful way to describe the loss.

me and my family were devastated when we heard of his death and feel sorry for the crocs and all the other wild animals in Australia and the rain Forrest as it will be sure to suffer with out the one great protector it had within Steve Irwin who was fighting to preserve it all for them and unlike Joyce f view of him the animals in his zoo were the best looked after animals on this planet and most were injured or taken from there native home for there protection from idiot humans and hunters and lets not forget the ones that were taken off people that thought that they would make great pets and for conservation doesn't it mean preserving the animals natural habitat so that the animals can live were thay naturally belong and he was all of this and yes country girl it is great to help all our wild animals and makes me feel good about all the ones i have help after cyclone Larry.

Tragic!!!! Steve Irwin was one in a million. The world is a better place because he was in it and made such a huge impact. I only hope his wife and children carry on his work for conservation. Still it just won't be the same without Steve's infectious enthusiasm. I miss him.

i rekon it was horrible but the way i see it because it VERY rare for a person to go the way he did then oviously his time was up,he did his work here and it was time to begin his new life in heaven. He taught the world about australia and got millions of people to love and respect the wildlife, now his gone little bindi will follow his steps for sure!!

His death was shocking, but seriously with all the good he did taken into account - this was bound to happen sooner or later. Any man who actively seeks out dangerous creatures, even in conservation work, is asking for trouble.

I think the best thing about his death was that he died doing what he loved - it was an honourable death. He will be missed

Steve Irwin died earlier in his life than he should. It's upsetting to see anyone die, but especially someone that was so involved in helping animals. All I can say a positive on is, at least he went doing what he loved.

Well I live on The Sunshine Coast in Australia. We all miss Steve very much, if you think, that you would like to follow in Steve's footsteps, do it. I am sure he would like a lot more people to be just like you!
