I believe that God is not limited in how He can bless people. For instance, what do with a person who has difficulty eating? Wouldn't we use every measure possible to help them? Since we live in a fallen world with pollution, etc., we do not always know what are the causes of infertility. And if God has enabled understanding of ways to help those who face this heart-breaking problem, who are we to judge what path another follows. I believe God's great and awesome love is bigger than that and more merciful than our hearts could ever be.

All life is from God regardless of how the baby came to be (through natural relations, rape, donated sperm, or in-vitro fertilization). We live in fascinating time period where people who are unable to get pregnant naturally are able to get pregnant by other methods. I don't necessarily think it is playing God, when a woman wants a baby so bad and for some reason the odds are against her in having one. If she is able to have a baby through in-vitro fertilization and is able to give that child proper care and attention for the next 18 yrs of its life, more power to her. I really would hope that she would have a husband to help out - its challenging to raise a child on your own.

The problem with in-vitro fertilization is the creation of many embryos so that one may attach to the uterus.
The Catholic Church disagrees with the concept of killing many so that one may live.
Couples that participate and the physicians are in a very serious way, "playing God" by determining which human person should live and which should die.
The innocent children thus are victims of over zealous parents who want children more than justice.

I think it's playing God. I know a couple of women who have done it and ended up with 5-9 embryos. They went through the painful process of narrowing it down to a 3 or less and still ended up losing them all.

Im catholic but I feel that it was created and its up to us to decide if we would like to use it looking at the pro's and con's. Also it may be a sign that maybe you should adopt so many children in foster care here in the US and orphaned children in other countries why isnt this an option.

Playing God. Some couples were meant to be infertile to test their faith - Abraham and Sarah - Eli and Hannah - the Virgin Mary and others.
