Most vets stock it. Yes it does work my cat is on Frontline and so is my mums dog....we swear by it as no other protects them from fleas as well. Its roughly £15 for 3 in a box and £30 for 6.

Not sure where they would sell it instore in the UK but I'd suggest Pet Supply Stores, Pet Shops, Vet Clinics...
However, your best bet would be Ebay. You can find everything on there & I purchase my flea prevention from there too. It ends up cheaper!
Frontline is only one of many options. There also Advantage, Advocate, Revolution who are also all quality brands & products.
If you get a quality brand/product - it does work. It prevents fleas for upto a month. I find it is much better than any flea shampoo or powder I've ever used. My entire home has been flea free for 9yrs & I have 3 dogs & a cat!!!
If you plan on bathing your cat during that month, look at the product descritpion, some can withstand one bath without washing off.
You simply apply it in between the shoulder blades. Part the hair, emtpy the little tube right onto the skin. For larger animals, put half the tube there & the other half right above the tail on their lower backs.
If your cats already have fleas, I'd suggest you wash their bedding to get rid of any larvae or eggs that may have been laid.

I urge u to take extreme CAUTION when using Frontline... We had a very very VERY VERY, (did I say very?) big scare when Frontline caused a horrific allergic reaction that almost killed our pet.. After researching Frontline, I was blown away by all the other who had been down that same path... U can get it from the vet, and its like 30 to 40 US $$. But if u do use it. Dont jhust go off and put the hole dose on your cat... Do a little test spot and weight a few FEW days to see if it can handle the chemicals.... We are still having BAD skin problems with our pet and it's been 4 mounths... Also spent around a $1000 US in vet bills... Keep in mind that with the cooler weather, the fleas should die off till it warms up...

Yes it is fantastic stuff, not only is it `curtains` for fleas,it also kills `ticks` which cats can pick up very easily because they are so fond of stalking through grass. You can get it from the vet and it is quite pricey. It comes in I think two sizes the large one is around £15. It is a trigger action spray, not gas propelled. My vet sells a refill for this, so once you have the spray bottle, you can buy a refill the next time. The refill is about £. 6.50. When you treat your pet do it outside the house. because the fleas literally jump off the animal. Later in the day, brush or comb the fur.

The Vets is the only place in the UK it can be purchased. In France, for instance, you can buy it in the local supermarket, for a fraction of the price over here.
Not sure about how much it is for a cat, but a packet containing 6 treatments for dogs, weighing between 10kg and 20kg, is around £40. It's excellent stuff. My vet says I have the cleanest dogs they've ever seen, it's due to good grooming, and regular flea and worming treatments. Of course, a lot of love and affection goes without saying.

I've researched Frontline quite extensively on the Internet, I have 3 cats and it was costing me £30 a month from my vet to treat them.
The cheapest place that I have found, thanks to another yahoo answers person, is hyperdrug.com. I paid £15.56 for six 'spot ons' which is a two months supply for my cats!
It always works really well on my cats, one of them is very old, 21, and reacts badly to other flea treatments but shes fine with frontline.

It is not cheap but it works brilliantly. I have the flea and tick one as ticks are a major problem up here in Scotland. I have not had a tick or fleas off either my dog or cat all Summer and it's been perfect tick weather this year. The dog one I get at Tesco but for some reason can only get the cat one through my vet.
Worth every penny.

You're best off getting it from your vet, i've just asked my wife (she owns a boarding kennels and cattery) and she reckons it costs around £15 for 3 treatments which should be sufficient for a cat. Frontline is one of the best treatments available and it definately works.

go and ask you vet for some frontline flea treatment.that is the best one you can get.it cost about twenty pounds. all you have to do is give your cat the treatment then repeat that treatment a month later and so on.

It is best to talk to your vet first as the dose etc does depend on the size / weight etc of your cat. Once they've issued you with a prescription, you can either get repeat doses from your vet without additional visits (and costs), but you may be able to find it cheaper online - somewhere like www.petmeds.co.uk
However, be sure you've got the right doseage etc if you are ordering online.
