I was just wondering if a glow stick were to break in your mouth, what would happen? What would happen if you were to swallowe the fluid? Could it be possibly safe to mix it with sodium fluoride? I'm thinking about making glow in the dark toothpaste.

Let's put it this way. Your toothpaste is not edible. Read the warning label on it. It will say something like, "if you consume more than typically used for brushing, contact poison control center." You want to add something else to the tooth paste. The question you should be asking is will the combination of anything with toothpaste make the tooth paste more deadly. Then forget about the glow stick and go find a safer toothpaste. Why would you want a poison in your mouth?

I don't know what is in the glow stick, but I am almost 100% sure that it is NOT edible.

Don't do it!!!! My boys played with them in the bathtub when they were real little. They somehow got them open ( they claim to be non-toxic on the packaging) but when I looked in the bathroom later , there was a huge hole burned into the fiberglass that went all the way through!

Please do not put it in your mouth. It might not be toxic (check the label) but putting the fluid in your mouth is likely not good for you and could hurt you.
