There's nothing wrong to joke around with someone you love as long as he knows you are joking around. But I'm guessing that he took you a little more seriously than you meant for him to. So, why not apologize to him, tell him the truth, and maybe he will forgive you and forget you asked. I have a hunch if he is a stand-up guy he can overlook it and move on with your lives together.

Yes, this was wrong. Why would you say something like that unless it is actually a thought that you have considered? Your boyfriend couldn't stop loving you because of that remark, but it is definitely a reason for him to wonder if you are mature enough to be in a serious relationship. That was a very childish and destructive statement to make to the person you have called your fiance.

Depends how you told him, and whether he can joke with you.
If he knew it was a joke/banter, fine.
Since you're asking, he presumably thought you were serious.
That's not a good thing.
I prescribe lots of apologies and 'making it up to him'.
Make an effort to show him clearly how you feel about him.

There are things you don't joke about, and telling someone you plan to marry that it is over, do you think that this is right? His trust in you is now damaged. How damaged, you have to find out, and try and repair, if he lets you.

Well, he may still be madly in love with you, but his trust of you took a beating didn't it? Now he's wondering when the next time is this will happen.

Well that is not a good thing to do to a man that loves you and wants to get amrried to you. So my answer would be yes. I think that you should plan a very nice romantic dinner and tell him how sorry you are.

Yes it was wrong...you can't play with emotions. Just make sure he knows you love him and you are terribly sorry for saying that. If it was love in the first place, he will forgive and understand.

Of course that was wrong. Thats like calling your brother and saying your Mom just died in a car crash when in fact she's in the kitchen making dinner.

That isn't something to joke about. Now you have to earn his trust / love back.
