Well I'll give you the solution the Dr. gave my Husband for diving. Mix 1/3 alcohol, 1/3 warm water and 1/3 vinegar. Squirt into your ear and it will evaporate the water out of your ear.
If you have fluid in your middle ear I think the Dr. needs to prescribe something.

If I am understanding your question correctly, it could be drainage from your nose and throat/mouth. Everything is connected and liquids can move between, especially when you have a cold. To remove the water see your doctor. Rubbing alcohol will only help if the water is in the ear canal and could cause problems.

Normally it will come out on it's own given a little time, but if not stick in your little finger and give it a good wiggle. That is usually enough to disrupt the "bubble" of water that has formed in the narrow ear canal.

Pour rubbing alcohol in your ear. The alcohol evaporates quicker than water and when it mixes it should evaporate the water as well. I have done this before and it sometimes takes a few times to get it all.
