Get her something that shows she's turning into a young adult-perhaps a cell phone, iPod or something that she's been asking for.
Good Luck having a teenager in the house! It really tests your patience.

For my daughter's 13th, I got her a manicure kit and a selection of nail polishes.
Then I added a few lip glosses, some mascara, a pale blusher, and a couple of light brownish eye shadows (nothing too garish).
I also picked up a gift card to Claire's, which is a store in the mall that sells dirt cheap costume jewelry that really appeals to that age group. If there is no Claire's at your mall there will be something very similar.
Finally, I went to Hot Topic and got her several cute T-Shirts with silly sayings on them, the kinds of things that young teenagers like.
I put it all into a basket with a Beanie Baby cat (she loves cats) and tied a few balloons to the handle and gave it to her. It was a huge hit.

1. Go to an amusement or water park 2. Go to a movie 3. Do the sleepover, it's better with fewer friends and more fun 4. Do a really strange cake. Like a donut tower or a pizza with candles in it instead of a cake 5. Go to the mall with a bunch of friends of hers 6. Makeup party 7. Put balloons all over the room! Whatever happens I'm sure it will be special for her and she'll love it as you're her parent. Hope this helps, good luck.

Depends on the girl! Is she into clothing then get a gift card for her to spend with you at the mall. Or a cell phone if she doesn't have one. Or a savings bond for her future. Or even a nice ring would be a hit. A concert would also be cool.

I always just ask my kids what they would like to have. I make them give me several suggestions and then I pick from those or get them something similar. You never know what a 13 yr old is going to want anyway. Their tastes change so often.

Does she have a cellphone (a pay as you go kind is perfect for her age)? How about an MP3 player, or IPOD ? How about a gift certificate to her favorite store for a shopping spree? Let us know what you decide!

Get her a digital camera. 13 is a great age for the child (maybe not the parents). She's going to be graduating Jr. High Soon and then comes High School. She has so much coming up in the next years that it would be great for her to "capture" the moments! Happy Birthday to her!!!

Well...I think you'd get a better prespective on the situation by asking a thirteen year old....like me! He are some things that I would want:
Cell phone
C.D.'s
Lap Top
Money
Just little things like that...well...not really little...but you get the point.
