He was the fulfillment of ancient prophecy, and the culmination of the nation of Israel, as foretold and promised by God's Covenant with the Jews.

He lived. He fulfilled every prophecy about him. He healed the sick, he made the blind see. He brought the dead back to life. He died and was resurrected from death. Hundreds of people witnessed him risen from the grave, and hundreds saw him later ascend to heaven.

He redefined our relationship with God. It was a gift for the entire world, Jews and Gentiles alike. If you believe in him, you won't perish. You'll have everlasting life in a new earth, with a new heaven.

Although we have no hard, direct evidence that he existed (no Roman birth records), we have more evidence that he existed than we do Alexander the Great. Scholars have sought to disprove his existence, and wound up turning to Christianity.

Seek, and you will find him.

Jesus was put here to help save the world, but you gotta listen and believe and also remember there is a Book of Life and if you ain't in it you lose big time. Jesus has nothing to do with that directly, only indirectly.

It's up to you not to follow the wrong people and wrong causes.

Know right from wrong. Good from evil.

Read the bible. Read God's commandments. Read God's parables. Read what Jesus has to say about life and living.

The rest is up to you.

Get it right and everything will work out right

Get it wrong and well....

(read the four gospels) He was the Son of God, sent to restore our relationship with God by taking our sins upon Himself, so that we could be forgiven and the gap between us and God would be restored. Everyone who accepts this and receives Jesus "into their heart" will have this relationship, and will be considered a 'Christian'. In the Greek, that word means, "little Christ". As Christians, our job is to be representatives of Christ to this world. A good way to recognize a Christian, is someone you can see God inside- you will know when you see one (there are so many false Christians in this world).

To the save lost...

Jn 12:27 “My heart is troubled. What should I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No. This is the very reason I came to this hour. 28 Father, bring glory to your name!” Then a voice came from heaven. It said, “I have brought glory to my name. I will bring glory to it again.”

es2prodigy: How do you come up with your supposed meaning of the Greek word, "Christianos?" -ion is a diminutive ending, but getting from that to -ianos is a stretch. It seems very likely that the name was initially intended in a derogatory way but was accepted by the early church. It is unclear what the original meaning of the term was. If -little was the intent, oligo- or mikro- are more likely forms, similar to oligopistoi.

To destroy the works of the devil.

To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

To save those that were sick or lost in sin.

To be Saviour of the world.

Jesus said, "Drink of this fruit of the vine. This is my blood that is shed for the remission of sins for many.". To be the atonement for the sins of everyone in this world.
