i would suggest trying to bring your own, healthier food (better for you and your wallet) but i think the healthiest candy bar would be a snickers or somethign similar. I think Doritos would fill you up more than M&Ms, those might be better so you don't eat many many more. They would help you not eat as many and save your appetite to fill up on a healthier dinner later. Hope this helps!

Get smart about it!! On your days off each week, stop at the store and buy some healthy snacks.
1. It'll be cheaper in the long run over the vending machines .
2. You'll have your choices that YOU make for yourself.
and 3. You won't be making the fat-cat vending machine people richer!

Some suggestions;

nuts can be a healthy choice, but only once in a while. They are good sources of protien and the oils in them are good sources of the good fats for our bodies.

Fruits, either fresh or dried , are good sources of fiber in our diets and doctors say americans don't get enough, hence the advent of metamucil and all those other nasties. Skip 'em! Eat your fruit! LOL

My mom and I once made some no-bake cookies that you usually just put rolled oats in, but we added sunflower seeds and raisings and oats and peanuts and goodness only knows what all else. The chocolate stuff in the recipe was only there holding it together. You talk about pure energy food!! IT was amazing!! You could make a batch now and then with your kids and have those for your break time snacks at work. With some milk, of course!!
You can find the recipe on alot of the baking cocoa containers.

Neither. Save your money and go to the store and buy a sweet apple or some little carrots or a banana. Carry these to work in a little bag. You can say "No" to the vending machine. Think about every bite as nutrition and your goal is to make your body and mind strong, and eat accordingly.

You would have to read the fat content and also the amount of calories and sodium, neither will be healthy and will make you tired in a hour or so because of the carb/sugar rush going away.
A protein snack will keep energy up and make you feel better longer.

A good idea is to take peanuts or something else healthy with you to work, it saves money and you know exactly the health quotient of the foods you eat.

Are pretzels an option? If you can grab a bag of those, before you eat one break off the excess salt so you don't retain extra water.

You could also bring a healthy snack into work and keep it somewhere - that way you won't be tempted. I wouldn't choose either doritos or m&ms.

anything out of a vending machine is high on calories. It would be healthier to have a piece of fruit, such as a apple, orange or banana.

merchandising machines dont placed a scare into me! i'm getting what i pay for, no matter if I easily could shake the rattling component to get it to come back loose and drop! i carried out that some cases! you imagine i'm getting ripped off , and forgetting about it, to procure yet another component coming!

It would depend on your health and if you have any problems - sugar/blood pressure/cholestrol - bring a healthy snack from home - brown bag it!@
