I turn on my tv and it is black. You can hear the sound of the tv but there is no picture(pitch black). I have cable also and it is working but the only problem is that the tv picture won't come on. Sometimes I will turn on my tv and it will shut back off for a few seconds. Sometimes I will have to unplug the tv just to turn it on. What can I do besides buying a new tv?

Have a certified technician have a look at it. Or,
you might be able to call one and give them your
symptoms and see if they'll give you some free
diagnosis help. Find out how much it will cost,
then see if that amount is in your best interest to
keep it or just purchase a new one.

You could go to Walmart and buy a really cheapT.V. from are Asian friends and this would solve your dilemma, now If you'll excuse me I've got to down load some material from earlier in the day lol. Later dude!

It may be cheaper to buy a new tv set, a repair bill may be very expensive

look for somewhere that you can see CABLE / ant
it might be that..maybe you have it on antenna when you should have it on tv or vice versa..
or maybe it should be on CABLE
that has happened to me..hope it works

your tv tube is dead- you may need a new tv
