In most jurisdictions juveniles who receive traffic tickets will have to make a personal appearance at juvenile traffic court (or the equivalent in your area) and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Best to be up front and tell them about it now. My best guess is that your parents (one or both) may have suffered a similar indignity when they were young and had to incur the consequences of a parental frown and some criticism, the same as your faced with now. It's not the worst that could ever happen to you.

well, If your under 18 you will probably have to bring a parent to the summons. and yes the car insurance will go up, a little.

As a parent, I always said that if I found out before my kids told me, the punishment would be double. I also was able to help them more when they told me first. So... if they take the car away for a week that would be better than two. Get it???
