I'm a Christian, however, I strongly believe that if you really want to know what other religions believe(specially islam),you have to read it from an non-biased book. Do you know of any?

I do not think there is a non-biased book. If the author writes about his faith, then he cannot be non-biased. If it is written by an outsider, then how does he know which faith is the right one? Seeing that you are a Christian, with all due respect, do Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox agree on every aspect of Christianity? No, right? Since you only want information (it is not going to affect your life) try web sites. The ones above should give you a general idea of what Islam is about.

i don't believe there are any "non-biased" books. I think Yusuf Ali has an English translation and commentary on the Koran.

Compact Guide to World Religions by Halverson is okay. It's brief.

I would definitely recommend "The End of Faith" by Sam Harris which does a good comparison of christian, muslim and to some extent jewish faiths. This should be required reading for all people of faith.

If you want a quick read this is an unbiased website on most religions.
