"You don't believe the right stuff because Satan has deceived you"

No, maybe actually there is no Satan and I happen to be right.

Intellectual stalemate. No further discourse possible. Satan, in this context, is even more of a nuisance than God, because one side gets the serious heeby jeebies whenever he's mentioned and can't discuss in a relaxed manner. I think.

You're right. It IS intellectual laziness.

Don't worry about Satan. Worry about your relationship with God.

None of us are qualified to discuss the relationship between powerful spiritual beings like Satan, the angels and God.

All we can know, is that Satan is God's enemy. He exists in this world. This world is under his control. God has a plan for us, but it requires that we defy this world. He gave us the opportunity by providing us with the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ.

Defy the world. Live righteously. Learn about Christ. Keep asking questions.

As a Pagan, and a non-believer in Satan, I would postulate it as ethical and spiritual laziness. The existence of Satan allows people to take no responsibility for their actions because if something goes wrong "the Devil made them do it", it's a lot easier to blame Satan for your shortcomings than yourself. The intellectual laziness comes from blind acceptance of dogma, when "God said it, I believe it, that settles it" is whole of someones position, discussion is a waste of time.

No. all of us will be intellecutally lazy; Christian, Agnostic, Atheist, Buddhist, Muslim, etc. i became Agnostic for a lengthy time period. Laziness would recommend that you aren't any more doing some thing and making no progression. As a skeptic myself i have self belief that someone who's agnostic is only being better intellectually honest. it really is to assert, Why say you recognize some thing once you do not recognize? faith is have self belief. The question for me grew to change into, "Who do I have self belief?". For the longest time I only depended on my personal observations so I did extremely some analyze which I proceed even at present. the load of information which I proceed to locate is crushing.

I suppose the existence of Satan would be easier to disprove than the existence of god because their is less people brainwashed into satanism than their is into godism....... so there are less people in denial over non existence.

And of course if they ever were around they are not of a physical form so automatically they do not exist !!!!!!!!!!

Interesting thought, I totally agree. No one is willing to even bother proving or disproving Satan because "Satan doesn't matter, only God does!' blah blah.

Postulating any imaginary being as the argument for something is not mere intellectual laziness -- it's gross ignorance. ;-)

Please stop talking to yourself other wise THEY will come and take you away and then you will know what postulating really means.
