No, that is not true. If you are over 30 inches around the middle, you may want to reduce your body fat, but you may be thin everywhere else, it does not necessarily make you overweight or overfat. HTH : )

Carrying fat around the middle doesn't make you fat but is an indicator of insulin resistance, a precursor of diabetes. It doesn't guarantee you will get diabetes, however.
I'm the same. We just find it easier to gain weight and more difficult to lose than most people. Life isn't always fair.

Don't listen to the jerk below me, she/he is just jealous...I honestly have not heard that yet but your weight depends on heighth and age so if you're like 9 years old and 3 feet tall then ya maybe that's over weight. But I'm sure you're fine for weight. Just go trying all those crazy diets be happy with your weight.

You would be about 2 foot if you are overweight! You are probably young and just need to wait awhile for you preteen baby fat to disappear or you have to exercise to get your mid section like you want it.Best wishes!

Depends upon how tall you are. If you're five feet tall, you're overweight.
