Be honest
would you rather go for the strong badass type who wont be told what to do, will call when he feels like it, but is uber cool and in a rock band
and know how to party
OR
the romantic type, who writes poetry, does whatever you want him to do, calls you everyday and pines over you, but aint as cool and badass as the first one, in fact the first guy would wipe the floor with this guy if he ever saw him, the romantic guy aint as confident either and isnt very strong , bless him
anyway girls are confusing so this shal settle this ancient question once and for all

Think a mix of both is the ideal there but out of the 2 you mention, I'd have to consider what I wanted to do with them:-
For a walk in the park, deep conversation, romantic love making, candle light meals then obviously the poet.
For attending rock concerts, partying, a good hard f***, etc then probably the hard man is the better choice.
I would definitely say it depends on my mood.

Hi Top Dog, I perfer that we both decide on things together,and have an open honest relationship.If there something bothering your mate,or you,you both need to sit down and find out what the problem is.This is the way i have done relationships,sometimes people don't like to be that honest in relationships.But i have found the right one,and we both plan to stay together.The best thing of all,we plan on being honest,and keeping an open relationship.

Personally, I'm kinda all over the "music scene". I love guys in bands... (my last three ex's have been in local rock bands)
But sometimes they can be uber-jerks...
I think I'd probably like a cute, sweet, poet type of guy more, someone who calls you, and is always there for you.
If you're the poet type of guy, and you like a girl who likes a rocker or something like that, (which is how your situation sounds to me) take her to a concert or something like that to show that you are appreciative of music, just in a different way.

I dont mean to sound cheesy or anything...
but i really, really think it depends on the girl and her mood.
Some girls will want the first guy, the badass.
Some girls will want the poet.
Some girls will not want either.
Some girls will want a mix of both, a guy who is very sweet to her, but will defend himself AND her...
Some girls wont care.
Me, i really dont care WHICH one i have. If i like them, that's great, let's go with it. =)
See, sweet, poetic guys are really nice sometimes...and sometimes they arent, cause they seem like too much of a wuss/baby.
Sometimes the tough guy is really cool, cuz let's face it, everyone likes the big tough badass. But sometimes girls want someone to cuddle...and the tough guys usually WONT.

You cant answer that question definitively. Every woman has what she wants and doesnt want. Plus, that may seem like a badass or a romantic to you may not be the same to someone else.

I believe the neithers have it. There is too much about men and women to go for the stereotypes you described. And it really depends on what you're looking for -- long term or short term. The coolest guy is great for short-term but you will likely be dating the nice guy on the side because he's there when you need him. But ultimately, most girls will leave both of these weak and/or stupid losers and get someone with the best/better of both.

I would prefer the romantic guy in a way, because of all the romantic stuff he would do. But I would also want him to be able to stand up for me. However, I wouldn't want someone that is always geting into trouble. So a mix of both would be best.

I am happily married to a gentleman of 3 years, he is not a bad *** he gives me support, love warmth and comfort and he is always there at my side when i am sick, angry and upset. he is a good listener and ROMANTIC too. find the guy that has alot in common. I would prefer you to choose in my opinion the badass guy's who are into poems are boring the badass is usually the protector's and protects what it is his that is my opinion

The 2nd one you described. I want a man who is not afraid to show he loves me, and will call when he says he will call. I want a man that will be romantic and surprise me with poetry and lov notes. Being confident and strong isn't everything a girl looks for. Loving someone is excepting all their faults and giving it your all. Good Luck!! Hope this helps! :)
