Will they tell me to take my *** home and go to the doctor? The reason I ask is because my throat is swelled up beyond belief and my recruiter wants me to go to meps pretty soon. The damn ear nose and throat doc doesnt have an opening for like 2 weeks, and im not gonna waste my time going if thats what will happen. Plus the MEPS place is like 175 miles away, and that would be a huge waste of time, right?

Actually it's not cold feet. farthest thing from the truth. Ive been ready. So f uck you but good info. My throat looks real bad. If they would treat me for it you can be damn sure id go, but if not i wont waste time. The thing is i dont want to be disqualified, so if they do that then id be pissed. Im not really sick, but my throat looks like someone tap danced on it, so if they dont look down my throat then ill be just fine.

And i have seen a doctor who prescribed me antibiotics, not OTC medication, and told me to go see an ENT doc? So what say about that recruiter?

if you are truly sick you will be temporarily disqualified until you can prove that you are no longer sick. The MEPS is an examination for entrance into the military, not a trip to your local doctor. They will not treat you for anything there, it is not a treatment facility. Tell your recruiter you are sick, if you are. It sounds to me like you have a little cold feet more than a sore throat. If you truly are sick and over the counter medications are not working, try going to local doctor not an ENT. I am a recruiter, and I will not send you to MEPS if you have a medical issue, period. It is not fair to you. You need to sit down and talk to your recruiter to resolve this issue.

You're going to the MEPS for a physical right? You will see a doctor there. I doubt they will send you home.
