for a country whos corrupt government now wants to give its citizenship away as a handout? even to people who cant speak english? i dont think so. they fought to defend americans not a bunch of illegal mexicans who are trying to take over our towns. and yes they were defending immigrants, LEGAL ones! agree?

jennifer--couldnt read past the first couple sentences. the "this country was built on immigrants" thing is just made me stop. yes that would be LEGAL immigrants. and if youre so against what whites did to natives why would you be for what mexicans are stealing from us now? yeah nothing for that one. and 90% of illegals ARE mexican so i really dont care if i offended you its a simple fact that almost all illegals are mexicans. your first sentences were too dumb to make me want to read more.

okay first of all I would like to say that Mexicans have been in this country along with the French for longer then there has been Amereica and being a part Mexican women I am offended by the fact that you would blame all illegal immigration on Mexicans. America is a country built on Immagration but most people dont seem to remeber that Whites aren't natives to this place and if It wasnt for them Blacks wouldnt be here either so I also cant stand that "Go back to Africa" s**t which is what this is only on Latinos. And we Invited the Asians to be laborers but once we didn't need them we tried to get them to leave. IT DOESNT WORK LIKE THAT. Yes illegal immagration is wrong but everyone knows that America is the biggest hypocracy on the planet. (some illegal immagrants do want to be legal ones and do so)Not to mention that there are more illegals comming in from other countries. And who are you to say what past soldiers died for? They died with many different beliefs. I do think that I recall a former president saying give us your poor, burdened, and all those other things, he wasn't talking about animals he meant people. Or maybe just like almost everything else in America that was for Whites and Europeans or those who could pretends to be.
my point is that America is a country built on immagration and the majority of those immagrats(willing or forced here) didnt speak "English" even the Native Americans didnt speak it and they were here first but what did we do put them on resevations. so for us to now refuse people entry to our country with plenty of land to be settled would be a spitting in our ancestors face.
i.e. the pilgrams and indians. the pilgams were immagrants to this country and the indians helped them to adjust to this new land and get on their feet
and did I mention that there was a little thing called the draft? and some do it for the money....... sorry to dissapoint you.

Lets face the truth now our government is not by the people of the people and for the people. It is led by people who are helped in to power with corporate dollars to do the there bidding for them Laws reflect what corporate America wants not the people of the United States. The fact that our leaders are lobbied by corporations and are owners of oil companies and eventually end up paid lobbiest of corporations should tip you off. The fact that Oil companies recorded more profits than any corporation ever in history and still received billions in corporate welfare and the president of the country is an oil man should have tipped you off. Why aren't the media screaming bloody murder? Well lets see who controls the media? advertisers..aka corporate America. America is the freeist country in the world only if you can afford it.

They did fight for many reasons. But they knew what country they represented. I have heard some say this is no longer true and yes they feel the Government is giving it away to others. This has caused a loss of some patriotism for them. They want a country that represents them and only them if they have to fight for the country.
I don't like the war myself--just stating how many feel who are serving or have served.
