WHOOOZA rottweiler fan!!?? i got a 9 year old male rotty. also i would like to know if a rotty can take on a single wolf?

i've oned many rottweilers and even owned and trained a "true alpha dog" a couple years ago. Great dog and extremely loyal to me. Great Sentry and guard dog. As for the wolf thing, i'm going to say that 90% of dogs, regardless of breed, would lose to a wolf of equal caliber. Obviously, smaller to larger or middle to larger would lose badly. The only one i would say could possibly take on a wolf is a "true alpha". This means the dog was born with a specific character and strenght that makes them posess the qualities of an alpha wolf. Notice how i said alpha wolf not dog. wolves are naturally larger and stronger and stronger fighters than any domesticated dogs. The only breed i see actually challanging a wolf with natural strenght and prowness is the Irish Wolfhound. Besides, them, as a breed, i wouldn't even try.

I am definitely a Rottweiler fan!! I have a 6 yr old male rotty named Dozer! Dont know if one could take on a wolf, mine probably could, he's huge!

Love 'em! Great dogs if they're bred, raised and trained right. And every Rottie I know would whip a wolf one-on-one. Most wolves run in packs and could kill a lone dog, but they would look for easier prey unless they were starving.

i LOVE rottweilers i have a 2 year old male and i absolutly love him...but i dont think that many dogs could take on a wolf because wolfs have to fight to eat and dogs dont

I'm sure they could take on a wolf, but they are not guarunteed to win. I think that they would most likely win though, because of the strength of their jaws and their muscle structure. I do not have one, but they are cool. I also do not suggest finding out from experience if they oculd win the fight.
