Looking along my local supermarket shelves got me wondering how many chickens must be slaughtered throughout the world each day to satisfy our needs. The items ranged from raw whole chickens and pieces to ready meals and pies, both fresh and frozen. The total amount must run into millions.

850 million chickens are reared for food in the UK each year - that is equivalent to 14 chickens for each man woman and child. On a world scale the figures must be astronomical.

Hey dude, you need to get with the Commando Chicks. They can tell you exactly how many hens have been slaughtered on a daily basis.

In my opinion, these gals are much better looking than the d*kes from PETA. What do you think?

Lou I hear you. What would the world be like if humans were not allowed to harvest animals?

I killed a squirrel with a firearm when I was 16 years old. That was the last time I picked up a weapon other than when I was responsible for the deployment of nuclear weapons while serving in the US military.

Lou, you need to sober up. You've listened to too much Carly Simon music while drunk.

"All those crazy nights when I cried myself to sleep
Now melodrama never makes me weep anymore
'Cause I haven't got time for the pain
I haven't got room for the pain
I haven't the need for the pain
Not since I've known you

You showed me how, how to leave myself behind
How to turn down the noise in my mind
Now I haven't got time for the pain
I haven't got room for the pain
I haven't the need for the pain
Not since I've known you

Suffering was the only thing that made me feel I was alive
Though that's just how much it cost to survive in this world
'Til you showed me how, how to fill my heart with love
How to open up and drink in all that white love
Pouring down from the heaven
I haven't got time for the pain
I haven't got room for the pain
I haven't the need for the pain
Not since I've known you"

I JUST REALIZED IT. LOU IS A FROG! ROTFLMFAO

OMG...I've been to a site where it showed a chicken slaughter house. Gross. Sometimes I'll go days without eating meat or chicken because of this.
Then you've got to think of all the resaurants and chicken stands....It's unfathomable I think.
You're best off not even thinking about it if you like eating chicken.

Wow...Looks like we've got a good bunch of dumbass people, here, huh?
"Loki", you dare say that chicken have no other purpose than being slaughtered and make eggs? What are you, a nazi??People like you have nothing to do on this planet, other than take, consumming, polluating, and causing harm to this planet...You should go hang yourself....A chicken is a 100 times more valuable than crappy people like you...
It's funny how (so many) people think their stupid and meaningless lives are worth the deaths of innocent creatures who didn't do anything wrong, and that are treated like **** all their life long..
...Animals were not put on the earth for our "eating" purpose, they have their lives on their own, if only nazi-humans would leave them be...
And, someone else, dont know who, it's completely stupid to compare animals to vegetables, go get some culture, you freak...Or maybe you should try to have you throat cut alive to see how it feels...? As long as it's not you that suffers, then everything is fine...? -sigh- How ridiculous and stupid...

"I haven't got time for the pain, it's not my issue
I haven't got time for the issue, it's not my pain"

Goddamn self-centered stinky humans...

The average nonvegetarian eats about 100 animals a year. A lot of chickens are slaughtered a day, and imagine the ones that go to waste. Its so sad : (
