I am in prague and would like to return to the states before christmas, however my return flight is for jan 4th. I have flight insurance, but I need a major medical occurance or something of that nature to use it, I have heard that doctors will write forms, but I am not sure how to go about doing that either

If it is a student ticket you can try to change for $50 or regular ticket for $100. You can also try going standby but since it is the holiday season you are indicating you could be in the airport awhile.

Check with the airline..they may be willing to let you fly at the last minute on an earlier flight if they have an open seat...they can then sell your seat that is later to somebody else.
