First figure out if they are tension, work related, allergy/sinus,light, eye strain,or what. Tension/stress will be more at the back of the neck and lower head. Allergy/sinus will be around the sinus area and eyes and around the temple and forehead.Eyestrain from reading or computer or sewing/needlework or because the eyes are getting weaker will be your eyes and temples.Plain headaches, and I don't know where they come from or what they are from, will be more all over or temples. I also get what I call pressure headaches. They only come when it is going to rain,storm, a tornado,or if the storm blows over but doesn't happen near. These go away after the rain. They hurt all over my head and no meds-nothing touches the pain! I use aspirin for regular ones, sinus/allergy meds and aspirin for all/sinus,tension/stress I will use a heating pad and tylenol xstrength (or darvocet if I have any) and just make myself relax, eye strain I use a cold wet cloth or ice pack and rest in a dark room-You may need to get your eyes ckd if that is it.I hope this helps and you get to feeling better. I am very happy that I don't get migrainees anymore! I will deal with these other kinds! There is a home remedy for headaches also in one of my books that says to use a small amount of cayenne powder (a spice) on the end of a toothpick and put it up each nostril and sniff it in.It is suppoed to work. I just got the book and haven't tried it yet. Best wishes!

Sweetie, don't take the pills! Tylonol, asprin, ibuprofen, etc. are NSAIDs (non-steroid antiinflammatory drugs), which can cause rebound headaches. It can start with a stressful week, where you get a few headaches, and so you take something here and there every day. Before you know it, what's causing the headaches are the headache pills. Make sure you eat well, drink lots of water, get enough sleep, etc. Avoid caffeine and niccotine, alcohol isn't good either. When you do get a headache, try relaxation- lie down in a quiet, dark room for a little while. If you are off from the pills and you still keep getting headaches every day, see your doctor.

Try to figure out your triggers.
I did a food diary and highly recommend it.
I discovered that sugar is a migrane trigger for me (how bad does that suck!) but once I removed the majority of sugar from my diet, I went from 8-10 migranes a month to only 1-2 a month.
Hugely liberating!
Also, if you are having them every day it could be tension. Learn some relaxing techniques that work for you.
Good luck. I hope that you figure out your trigger so you can have some relief... headaches stink!

There is a Hatha Yoga technique called alternate nostril breathing that may help.
Relax in a comfortable chair and lay your head back on a pillow. Place you fore and middle finger of one hand on your forehead. Take a deep breath and then hold for a slow count of three (about 3 seconds) while pinching your nostrils closed with the thumb and ring finger of the same hand. Let one nostril open and breath out slowly and completely and then breath in slowly and deeply and pinch the nostrils closed again for a count of three. Repeat with the other nostril and do this three times.
It is supposed to restore balance to your breathing. In any case, it relaxes you and forces you to concentrate on your physical actions long enough to relieve some stress and hopefully your headache.

~~~ Your headaces could be causes by a number of things, this time of year is allergy season. Do you take antihistamines for alergies,,,,that my help. Could be what you are or are not eating,,,are you getting enough proteen if your diet. Try eating a bananna at the onset of a headache,,,it has natural sugars to bring up your sugar leval also the potassium in the bannana will help. One other thing when you feel headache comming on,,,get a moist warm cloth,,,lay it on your forhead and try to get a 10 min nap,,,,,
-Gently rub in circles the places on your head between your eyebrows and outside your eyebrows, working across and up the forehead.
-Reduce the light and loud noice: try to make a peaceful place in your home where you feel calm and carefree.
-Learn to say NO when people ask too much of you; this will reduce the stress that may promote your headaches
-Make sure you have adquate light when reading or doing other tasks that require precision.
