What is wrong with everyone? You all act like service is a bad thing. When we serve others we learn to love them more. Look at the love a mother can have for her child. She works her fingers to the bone for the kid, yet because she does so much for that child she learns to love him/her all the more.
I think a man and a woman should serve each other daily. A woman does not need to be a slave to the man, and on the same note a man does not need to be a slave to the woman. Men and woman have different skills and talents and this world could and would be a much better place if we would all serve each other lovingly. Service can take our mind off of our own problems and help us focus on how we can help someone else. Plus it is important to remember that God uses us to help others who need help. When we are in the service of our fellow beings, we are only in the service of our God.

Yes Paul is very clear on this: In 1 Corinthians 11 he says the head of the woman is the man. Women are suppost to serve men. Too many women have gotten away from christian teachings and don't realize their place any more.

Only since Christianity reared its head. Before that society was pretty much matriarchal. St. Peter(AKA Simon) and St. Paul (AKA Saul of Tarsus), known and admitted woman-haters and their Roman buddies changed all that. Before their time royal succession passed through the female and not the male. That's why the Friday Night Sevice in Hebrew households is conducted by the Mother.
