What Is the First Day of the Week?
The Bible clearly makes the Sabbath the last day of the week, but does not share how that corresponds to our 7 day week. Yet through extra-biblical sources it is possible to determine that the Sabbath at the time of Christ corresponds to our current 'Saturday.' Therefore it is common Jewish and Christian practice to regard Sunday as the first day of the week (as is also evident from the Portuguese names for the week days). However, the fact that, for example, Russian uses the name "second" for Tuesday, indicates that some nations regard Monday as the first day.
In international standard ISO-8601 the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has decreed that Monday shall be the first day of the week.

If your not Jewish nor Christian then Sunday would be the last day of the week because not everyone is Jewish nor Christian so in my eyes it's Monday that starts the week and 7 is and odd number so the calender isn't going to be perfict like everyone wants it to be so there for Monday is the start of the week and Sunday is the end.

It s what your preference is. There is software that allows you to print calendars that begin with the day of your preference. The business week goes Monday through Friday, and printing a calendar starting with Sunday makes it have an off day before and an off day after the work week so the calendar is balanced, and that also puts Wednesday, aka Hump Day, in the middle. If both off days are on one side, the calendar is lopsided, and moreover, because Hump Day is heavier than the other days, the calendar hangs crooked on the wall requiring a penny or two to be taped to the back of the calendar to make it hang on a level.

What makes the difference? Payday is still on Friday! Actually, according to the Seventh Day Adventists. Saturday is the last day of the week. For them, that is the seventh day, or Sabbath. Sunday is the day which actually starts off the week. I think Catholics, and certain other denominations believe that Sunday is the last day. So, who is right, and who is wrong? So, work Monday through Friday, get paid either on Thursday or Friday, then attend church on whatever day it is you attend! Anything else does not matter. It is one of those things you cannot change, just like death and taxes, so why bother with it?

Who made the calender? Could it be in error. Nobody truly looks at Sunday as the first day of the week. The calender is man made not God made. The different religions that say Sabbath is Saturday. Did God say that or did humans determine it to be Saturday?.

i think Sunday is the beginning of the week because it says it on the calender but if you are comparing it to work then it would most likely be Monday
