I was supposed to be dateing this guy. We made plans to hangout last night. I asked if his friend and wife would be there he said no. So I drive the 20 miles to his house. Pull in the drive and the friend and wife are there. So the friend and wife walk to the local bar. We are hanging out and the friend calls. Shortly they return and they are there a bit and ask him if he is going bowling with them. Boy talk about feeling uncomfortable. So do you think I had a reason to be ticked? Do you think he should of told his friends he had plans?

It depends. Did he go bowling with them? If he did, yeah I'd be mad. If he chose to stay with you, no. Sometimes things like that just happen. People show up unexpected. Why not just make the most of it and hang out with 'em too?

If it happens regularly, talk to him about it. If it's only on occasion, just don't worry about it. It happens....

If you want instant intimacy then you will not have a successful relationship for a long time, that was a form of hanging out right there, I understand about being ticked because he said they wouldn't be there, but if you would of said no otherwise I prolly would of lied too. So good lucks coming up with the answer to this, I just don't think you should be mad.

if u are dating this guy why is it that you do not know how to communicate with him. what type of hanging out did you want? what was wrong with bowling.. i would automatically feel like i was going too. why uncomfortable. three is a crowd... four is double dating. while they were at the bar... why did you not ask what the agenda for the night was going to be. when they called... i would have been saying.. what do they want... what are they saying...? lol if you wanted a romantic evening..and that was the plan..he should have stuck with it.. or asked if you minded a change.

I don't see the problem. Can't you just go have fun, have a drink, go bowling and enjoy life? If this ticks you off, I think you're a little unreasonable. It sounds like a fun night to me- I would have gone out drinking and bowling as a group and enjoyed myself. Sounds much better than "hanging out" at his house all night. How boring was that?

If you were horny, maybe you should have told him. Otherwise, double dating or hanging around together with friends is not necessarily a bad thing. Make his friends like you, and he will love you.
You only stated an isolated event. If it was an ongoing thing, then yes you would be 'in the right' to want to spend time with him alone.
