I'm an atheist, i simply think prayer is a way for people to collect their thoughts. If you ask someone to pray for you then i doubt it will do you any good although may make them feel they are helping you some how.

Why in the world would you want someone to pray for you? What do you think will happen because of this prayer?

Yes, I will. Why not pray yourself, too? If you can ask others to pray for you, why not pray to God directly and cut out the middle-men? :-)

I absolutely will, thank you for asking. I pray that God will show you the truth, the life and the way through His son, that your life will be blessed in many ways, that you will joyfully come to know you can trust the bible as God's word and Jesus as your savior and friend. In Jesus' name I ask, amen.

As an atheist, you wouldn't request prayer. You aren't an atheist.

Sure, I can utter some words and do some hand movements, that's all there is to it. Oh yeah, and that "faith" thing comes into play somewhere in there. No idea why "faith" is so popular, but I heard it's like LSD.
