Would people volunteer to live under biblical law? I mean were you get stoned for adultery and you have to marry your rapist? Or were women have no rights? They can't learn without permission or speak? Is that cool with some people?

What fundamentalists refuse to understand is that book was written such a long time ago by people who viewed the world in such a different way. The Bible has interesting insights into a lot of subjects, for sure, but you can't possibly seriously believe today we need to revert to that. We can no more return to the way biblical people understand the world than we could choose to adopt Greek mythology as our guide.
PETA would have a field day anyway, do you have any idea how many cattle would have to be sacrificed every year in a country with a population like the U.S. to follow the rules of the Old Testament?

I volunteer to live under grace. The old testament law was a result of man deciding what was right. The world was new and God was permissive to man who was allowed to make laws. God's law that he himself wrote is the ten commandments. That law has never changed. When Christ came he said he did not come to destroy the old law, but to fulfill it. By that he meant he kept the ten commandments. The only place where new testament leads one to think where women had no say is where it says "Let the woman be silent in the church" Once again, consider the times. The synagogues separated men from women. When women heard the teachings they would interrupt the service to ask questions of their husbands who sat across from them. When you consider how Christ liberated the woman, so much more than anyone ever has, it is easy to " volunteer" to live according to the bible. It is the only way to live. Oh and just because we are under grace, the law was not done away with. Christ himself kept the sabbath and was careful of what he ate . Even Paul speaks over and over of how he keeps the law. God never changes. His law is forever. Man's law is fallible.

There is no biblical law anymore. That only applied to the ancient nation of Israel.

Jesus ended Judaic law with the New Covenant, which is for all the nations.

1. Treat other people like you would want to be treated.

2. Devote yourself to God.

3. Obey the laws of the nation in which you live.

Praise God he sent Jesus to pay the penalty for our sins because no man other than Christ can fulfill the law and our only salvation comes from him.

How about we take all the Bible-thumpers and put them on a remote island somewhere and they can shout fire and brimstone and stone each other to their little shriveled perverted hearts' content?

Read your BIBLE.
It didn't work-thats is why Christ had to be the sacrifice for our sin debt on the cross.

Romans-Galatians and Colossians make that plain.

God isn't short on grey matter.
People come up short!

The whole idea of the Law was to show us we can't do it, we can't live right. We need Jesus Christ !
