after i gave my chihuahua his heartworm pill, i was giving my other dog hers,but she spit it out and the chihuahua ate that one too!! I'm worried because they are different pills since the dogs are different sizes etc.. I just dont want my chihuahua getting sick or even die from taking 2 different heartworm pills...????

She might feel a little sick to her stomach. Don't keep the two dogs together when you give them their medication. It has a good flavor to them and they will eat it. Watch her closely though for any unusual signs. To be on the safe side, call her vet and ask.

Probably, but I would give the vet a ring and see if this is toxic and what can be done to counteract the medicine. Generally, a double dose of medicine will not hurt an animal but the Yorkie is so small that you should find out the side effects and made aware of any danger signs. There are many ways this could have happened including the larger dog not swallowing the heartworm medication. We always try to avoid problems however accidents can happen. Good luck!

Should'nt be a problem.No worries unless the little pig starts vomiting.Then call the vet.
I had the same thing happen recently.Had to drive 30 miles BACK to the vet for another dose and was I ever mad.

I would definitely call your vet!! Not sure exactly what would happen. Now if your little dog ate a whole Snickers Bar I could help you!! lol. Good Luck!! :)

Ivermectine is deadly when overdosed, this is why heart guard comes on more than one size. That is a very small dog so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Your vet should have an emergency #,,, I suggest you call

I don't think anything really bad will happen, but phone the Vet or animal emergency.
