I am a person of faith and I would not categorize an entire group of any type with a definitive.
Many atheists have extremely good values, good judgment and have a moral code in which they abide by -
I get my moral code from God and the written word but oddly enough before I became a Christian there were things that I still would not do -

Some do because they do not think that human beings can make their own choices on how to behave without having first consulted a certain archaic tome. Some judge on differences and because of not being able to understand why anyone would want to be different.
We are all influenced by our environment and so in many cases people make the same choices no matter their faith because we went to school, listened to our parents or just watched TV. Morals are codes of conduct formulated by a society as a whole not by a faith alone. Morals evolve as society changes, grows and adapts, we all live in the same world. So, to be honest this argument renders arguments about who have better morals redundant as we all share similar ideas or conduct. In some contexts they might be different but the most basic codes will be very similar...

I can't speak for anyone else but I don't think atheists lack morals. I judge people by their actions, not what they believe or don't believe in.
Some atheists lack morals, some don't. Some Christians lack morals, some don't.
I do, however, think that the 'athiests' that post stupid 'questions' here merely to offend religious people lack morals (I don't mean your question, I mean the stuff like "God sucks").

No, I am a Christian and I do not believe that atheists lack morals. My father in law was an atheist and a man of high morals.

No, I don't.
I think the lack of morals show more glaringly in some professed Christians.
Right off hand I am thinking about the Bakers and the The Clintons. I know there is a multitude of other examples, but I am not going to try to list them.

I don't think they personally lack morals. Many are good people. I do wonder if they have predication for morality, though. That is just a philosophical question that has been around for years. Some people are working on that in the form of "positive athiesm."

Do atheists lack morals?
Not necessarily so.
The problem, though, is just what "moral code" they follow?
For the Judeo-Christians, the "moral code" is based on what God has revealed through His Word.
The Atheist believes there is no god. So they would not believe in any God-given "moral code". That is not to say they might not have a "moral code"; even one which might in many ways be very good.

Not at all. Atheists simply have no basis for their morals. Christians believe that God has set down for mankind His rules for their treatment of one another. Atheists' morals, on the other hand, are completely subjective, and based on what people accept to be right. An atheist cannot tell a nazi that he was wrong, with any foundation for saying so.

I have known a few atheists and they definitely have morals. But not the same ones we do. For instance many atheists think homosexuality is ok, while the bible tells us clearly that homosexuals should be stoned to death. Statistics show atheists commit fewer crimes and have fewer divorces, but they tend to lack patriotism, voting democratic and not supporting holy wars against islam and comunism. They vote for abortion rights but then vote against guns and the death penalty which the bible clearly support.

A recent study found that atheists ranked the lowest as far as "trustworthiness" - even below people of Middle Eastern decent. Not saying that we shouldn't trust Middle Eastern people but I do know that there are a lot of ignorant people out there who think all Middle Easterners are terrorists.
I have to say, I was insulted. Not because we ranked lower, but because we ranked lowest. And according the the first poster, I'm apparently a murderer, child molester, rapist who abuses puppies.
