The MOST IMPORTANT thing that makes you gain or lose weight is how much you eat.

If you weigh 130 pounds and you jog for 30 minutes, you will burn about 200 calories.
There are 200 calories in 4 and a half oreo cookies.

Exercise is good, but you would have to exersize every moment of your life to make up for eating chocolate and junk food every day.

My recommendation - just don't eat dessert, junk food like chips, cookies, ice cream, that kind of stuff. By definition, dessert is unnecessary. It's not anorexic or anything to not eat dessert.
I am a guy, and I mostly stopped eating junk food, but didn't change anything else about exercise or the other food I ate, and I lost 20-25 pounds in about 2 months

eating junk foods will increase the amount of calories you take in without adding any kind of good nutrients like protein or fiber. when you exercise, you expend an extra amount of energy and create muscle which will burn off calories even quicker. if you want, you can exercises a huge amount and eat junk food and stay in the same shape you are in, or you can cut down on junk food and exercises a little bit and get thinner. i don't really exercises but don't eat junk food and I've lost a large amount of weight, but something else might work better for you.

Both of those things contribute to weight gain, it's not just one or the other.

Stopping eating junk food and exercising more is definitely a way to lose weight.

Eating chocolate and 'junk foods' in moderation does not cause someone to become overweight. It's overeating either or both, along with lack of exercise to burn the added calories that causes someone to become overweight.

You gain weight when you take in more calories than you use. so eating chocolate is likely to add to your daily calories and you can exercise, but you have to exercise a lot to burn off calories.

Both, the chocolate has calories. If you dont burn off enough calories and build up your metabolism, then you gain weight.

Yes eating chocolate can make you fat. Not exercising will just make you bigger.

Both. Having too much fat in your diet or not getting enough exercise can make you get fat.
