My boyfriend and I have been together for over 3 years, and living together for about 2 and a half. We're an odd couple but are very compatable on most things, interests, ideas. Things haven't been quite as good lately and my boyfriend told me last night that he was thinking about breaking up. He's torn, fairly evenly between the options. He's stuck with the "What if?" problem. Maybe things would be better if we broke up, but maybe they wouldn't. Part of the problem I can see is that we started dating when he was 18 (I was 20 at the time) and he never really got to have his "wild days". My problem is that I have thought about us breaking up before as well, but came to the decision that I love him and I think that we could work, at least for awhile longer. But to me it sounds like it's just as easy for him to leave me as stay and I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that. So he's making this decision for himself right now, but I wonder if I should think about leaving.

I think that only you can anwser that question. Relationships take work, REAL WORK and sometimes it's hard to know when you'e just going through a rough patch or when it's over. Listen to that little voice inside yourself. Intuiton is powerful and often knows what we don't want to be true.

you guys should agree to date others for 3 months. No late night phone calls to eachother-no communication. Then after 3 months, make an appt to talk and see where you stand with each other.

If you love someone set them free. If they are yours, they'll come back, if not, they were never yours to begin with. Let fate decide. It's hard but as one door closes another opens. Things will work out for the best.

One of them is "If you love someone set them free, if the come back to you it was meant to be............"

maybe you should just break up for a temporary time, and see how that goes.
