My boyfriend and I have been together for over 3 years, and living together for about 2 and a half. We're an odd couple but are very compatable on most things, interests, ideas. Things haven't been quite as good lately and my boyfriend told me last night that he was thinking about breaking up. He's torn, fairly evenly between the options. He's stuck with the "What if?" problem. Maybe things would be better if we broke up, but maybe they wouldn't. Part of the problem I can see is that we started dating when he was 18 (I was 20 at the time) and he never really got to have his "wild days". My problem is that I have thought about us breaking up before as well, but came to the decision that I love him and I think that we could work, at least for awhile longer. But to me it sounds like it's just as easy for him to leave me as stay and I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that. So he's making this decision for himself right now, but I wonder if I should think about leaving.
