pass the slipper around towards the end of the evening and make each lady try it on ....the one it fits her husband gets to kiss the bride or put money in the shoe.....have the groom slipping them on the ladies feet....you'll think of something sounds like a fun idea

I wouldn't know how to incorporate the slipper within the ceremony. The only thing I can think of is having a horse and carriage which is pretty particular these days. Other ways are you wearing clear slippers, and having on a Cinderella like gown.

In the ceremony itself?

I know that some officiants (myself included) do theme weddings and one of the themes I've seen is "Royal Fairytale" complete with vowing to love each other "happily ever after" and the whole deal. You could go that route. If you make it all part of the fanstasy, it might come off a bit more sophisticated than it would if you stuck a bit about a glass slipper into an otherwise traditional ceremony...

If a couple came to me and *both of them* wanted to incorporate a glass slipper "ceremony" into a traditional wedding, I'd try to do it like the unity candle or rose ceremony. I'd ask you what it symbolized to you and try to mold it into a rite that celebrated your love.

Gotta admit, it's tricky... I'm not sure how it really fits in, but finding an officiant who's willing to try is essential.

Of course, if you only want it worked into the reception theme, that's much easier. I'd add it into the whole bouquet, garter ritual and decorate with pumpkin coaches and fairy dust.

Good Luck!

If the bride and groom do their own, original readings, the groom could, at some point, say "and I didn't need to have her try on a glass slipper to know that she was perfect for me."

I hope this isn't a "real" question, because that would be really sad.
Why in the world would you even think of such a tacky thing?
I will answer it as though you put it in the wrong category, and it really, truly is fiction:
In kids' play, you just can have the kids act out the scenes where the prince goes around the kingdom looking for the right girl to fit the shoe.

you could have a huge glass slipper to walk up on top of to get to the... whatever the front is called, where you finalize your vows and whatnot. or have it be the top of your cake. or have somebody find the glass slipper, instead of throwing a garter, to see who gets married next.

ditch the traditional instead of your spouse giving you a ring at the ceremony have him slip on the "glass slipper" .

the best way would be to have a ball, where there is a prince waiting for his princess, that fits the slipper..

hope she doesnt have big feet!!

I think it would be cute to have your ring bearer have the slipper on a pillow with your rings.

The ring bearer should carry it on the pillow with the rings in it.
Use a smaller version for your cake topper.
