Hi! I'm a web developer with a little problem - for some reason, no matter how many times I update my Flash plugin for IE, it always says that I haven't got flash installed when I try to view flash content. Unfortunately I MUST test stuff in IE, even though personally I use Firefox 99% of the time.

It is definitely installed - in fact its been reinstalled a dozen times already. Does anyone know of a way of completely removing IE and all of its plugins (including registry events) so I can do a complete flat reinstall? There is no way that I'm resintalling Windows, so please don't even suggest it.

A repair tool maybe?

Thanks in advance!

I once had an identical problem and found an article which helped me fix it completely, it took me more than half an hour to find this for you but I got it :-)

I know that IE changed the way it deals with flash (an active x embedded object) so now flash will not run unless you put a piece of javascript into the code I'm thinking that this might be your problem. do a search for flash and ie on the web

Try re-installing IE6 if you can, or try upgrading to IE7 RC1 if that has no effect.
