That parent made a vain & sad attempt to give meaning to their child's MEANINGLESS death.

Too bad they don't have the courage to admit that their child died in service to the love of money.

Consider this, - The Governments of the Western Nations and the United Nations KNOW all about the hardware, weapons systems and capabilities that most countries hold. If a particular Nation cannot manufacture a particular weapons system itself, then it must buy it (or all the component parts) on the world market. As far as I know, every decent democratic country requires its weapons manufacturers to obtain an export licence before it will let weapons systems out of their country. Most of these transactions are also reported to the United Nations. It stands to reason therefore that statements such as "we know they have got these weapons systems hidden away in the country" are most likely based on hard fact, WE probably sold the stuff to them in the first place and if not openly then by various back door means. Also consider that this may have been done when IRAQ was an ally to the West and that alliances change over time, friends become enemies and former enemies become friends. Also consider that IRAQ is a huge country composed mostly of desert, how easy it would be to hide almost anything in the middle of nowhere that is a desert! At the end of the day Saddam was seen by the world to be a madman at the head of a madmans government. He had to be stopped. The sad thing is that religious idiots in IRAQ are spoilling the ability of the ordinary man in the streets chance of taking IRAQ back into the real world but are trying to keep it mired in the dark ages. With thinking like that in the forefront of the Jihadists minds, they are a threat to the whole world not just the Western Nations. If I had my way I would bring back all the troops from IRAQ/Afganistan and let them get on with the job of slaughtering themselves on their own. Put up the drawbridges, refuse to sell them our technology, stop food and aid programmes etc and if they then take this as another "afront" or "attack" on them in their twisted minds and proclaim another "Jihad" on the West, then we simply launch missiles at them in return. By the way, I consider 99 per cent of the citizens of muslim countries to be honest and decent people and hopefully we will never ever come to above situation. There must be enough sane people around to grab power and run these countries half decently even if not democratically, which after all doesn't seem to be a middle eastern concept.

I don't believe that this is funny. Personally, I agree that they had no WMD's and Iraq was not a threat. I believe that it is stupid that America went into Iraq in 2003, when even before that a religious genocide was and still is happening in Sudan. Besides, just because America is number one in the world, does it mean that we have the right to determine who gets WMD's? If it was all up to us, only we would have them, and don't forget that we are the only country ever to use them, so what is the bigger threat? So I don't agree with the war or believe in the WMD's besides the so called "evidence" some people have mentioned because there are no WMD's and only TRACES OF POSSIBLE PRODUCTION in Iraq, but I will always support our troops because if you don't support the people who fight for us, you should volunteer as they do so you can better grasp the situation.

The US attacked an open threat to the US and its allies. There was proof of WMD that even socialist France agreed on. Iraq didn't play a role in 9-11 but they didn't prosecute the terrorists that Saddam knew was in country. Saddam also butchered hundreds of thousands of his own people. Whether you have the brain capacity or not, those soldiers are protecting us by confronting the enemy where they are, rather than here. You are ignorant.

You should reconsider taking positions like this that are insulting to the sacrifice that American men and women are making in the military.

You may disagree with the way, and that is your right. You may feel like the military should pull out immediately, and that is your right.

But do not try to dishonor these heroes and the sacrifices they have made. That is mean, and it serves no purpose whatsoever.
