I would want to make new friends. How am I suppose to talk to new people. I am very conscious on how I talk. After I ask them a question, they tend to ask me to repeat it. I guess I am embarrassed of how I speak. But then again, all my friends understand how I speak and they understand every word that come out of my mouth. Same thing with my family. I guess they have to get used to the way I speak? I know that you have to introduce yourself then after you introduce yourself, then what do you talk about after introducing yourself. like on day 1, I introduce myself to that person then ask about their personal background. On day 2, what do I ask them? What do I talk about? What subject do they do not take offensive?

talk about safe subjects, if going to school ask them their favorite teacher, class, music etc.
if in college, ask them their major, what life goals are etc....
if in the work age group, their job title, if they like where they work, etc favorite sport, team

asking about personal background and other personal information is not acceptable at this point,

some people are just ignorant they understand what you say and ask you too repeat it just so that you know that your different most people do it unintentionally so when it does happen just repeat your self even if they ask you to say it over and over again
