One of my little sisters is 6 years old and I'm kind of worried about her. She sometimes acts bipolar and acts like she has ADD. We've had like a pediatric psycologist (or something like that) come watch her and we haven't heard from her yet. Later in the week we're getting her tested for ADD. Lately she's been getting mad for stupid reasons and acts like she needs anger management. I'm really worried about her because like everyday she gets worse and worse. I mean yesterday she slapped our two month old sister 3 times in the face because she drooled on her blanket. I don't know what to do. Help?

I would wait to see what the pediatric phycologist has to say, then go from there. But it sounds to me like your sister needs counseling. If your suspicions about her having bi polar are correct then it may not be her fault that she's acting like this and she may need medication. Even so, bi polar is something that many people have been able to bring under control. This also depends on the age of the child. Your sister is really young, but still needs to be taught that her behavoir is unacceptable.

I am an elementary school teacher and I can tell you that young children mature in cycles, Usually they will have 6 months of fairly normal behavior and them 6 months of less desirable behavior. This pattern cycles upwards until adulthood.
Your sister is probably just a normal 6 year old. But listen to the professional and in the meantime, try to catch her doing things right and reward good behavior as often as possible. Many times when a child is acting out, its only for attention, so make sure you give her lots of positive reinforcement when she behaves well. Good luck! She's lucky to have a family like yours.

This is a question for your parents honey. To me it sounds like they need some stricter control measures on your sister. At six she knows better than to slap a baby, her problems sound like they stem from being spoiled. This type of out- of- control behavior indicates that she is used to getting her own way and now that there is a new baby in the house, she is no longer the center of attention. As the older sister you can only try to explain to your little sister that Mom and Dad still love her and want her and the new baby is just one more person to love.

Don't do anything. Your parents are getting her the help she needs. Just watch over her, be her big sister, let her know you love her and hang out with her. Try to keep a lookout for when she's around the baby. Other than that, let the professionals take care of her.

Good luck and I wish you guys the best.

You as the sister can only keep an eye on her and protect your siblings. Your parents have to get her some help now. Children who get physical with their family members can go on to having bigger problems as they get older.
I commend you for caring enough to get her some help. Your siblings are lucky to have you in their lives.

the only thing you need to do is make sure your parents know that she's hitting the baby. Your not the one responsible for her and your parents are getting things taken care of. Just please don't let her hurt the baby.
