basically 'RUIN' their children? I find this ridiculous and hurtful to those women who do and plan to be working moms. Not every women has married a man who makes enough money to support the household alone. Nor does every woman want to have to give up their career, and why should they? No one tells men they have to give up their career. I say more power to which ever one chooses - to stay home or work! (I know people wrongfully put down stay at home moms too, but you usually don't hear that staying at home will ruin your kid's life; I'm just pointing out this particular stance that I have read recently)

I feel so badly for working mom's having to face this mind set from others. I think our society needs to stop looking for a person to "blame" for children's upbringing and start applauding how many great parent's there are from all walks of life.

Actually I find that no matter what opinion I read, that I will be able to find the opposite somewhere else. (I have read the stay at home moms are setting a bad example for their daughters that we are servants and worthless!) I have learnt that you really can't change peoples opinions, just live the best you can and try to have an open mind yourself.

no one should really judge that but it is somehow true that being at home with her children means that she gives all her power and time to them. being a working mum is so tough so she has to be ready to do that without missing out on any of her other duties as a mum. if she has an understanding husband who is willing and able to help around the house and with the kids is a true gift but he will never replace her role as a mum. if she has to work for any reason, as needing the salary or even proving herself in a career, then she has to be very sure that it won't interfere wth her role as a mum.. a choice has to be made then, t is either be a good mum or a professional woman. i don't think both can apply at the same time because a person can only be truly dedicated to onething. each woman has her choice according to her own circumstances....

I think you are right and everyone has there own lives to live. Everyone has a different life and can't afford or want to stay home for all kinds of reasons.
