Yes it's perfectly safe when it is left alone, it's when you use it that the trouble will start. Leave it where it is and well alone.

Well ... I don't believe in all that stuff. But!

When I was young, a friend and I set out a Oui-Ja board with letters, numbers, yes, no, hello and goodbye - the usual. We decided to be very scientific and test out the power of this thing (that our Religious Education teacher had warned everyone to stay away from!). My friend asked a question and my brother and I placed our fingers on the upturned glass. It glided around the table to spell out the answer to the question. Now, this was a question related to my friend's family that neither my brother nor I could have known the answer to ... I cannot explain what happened to this day and have not thought about it in years until tonight.

Despite this baffling creepiness, I don't believe in the afterlife etc. There must be a scintific explanation for this phenomenon, as with so many other mysteries over the years.

A divination tool is just that, it is a tool. Without proper knowledge on how to use the tool they can become much more than an ornament or toy as suggested by some others. They can also be very useful when properly utilized.

Ouija: How Does It Work?

Is the Ouija a fascinating game for harmless fun... or a dangerous gateway to the unknown?

i am not sure i would like one as an ornament but thats just me

Nowt wrong in owning one and using it as an ornament. Many people have oracles and don't them. Just be sure you know what you are doing when you do use them, as they do work - believe me.

Its only a kids toy like a monopoly board.

In fact they're made by the same toy manufacturer - Parker Bros.

Beats me why people are so gullible....just imagine this useless piece of board had evil properties...they wouldn't be able to sell it for fear of being sued for damages.

Come on, use your brains you gullible dimwits!

I have never believed in ouija boards. They are kids toys with no power of any sort.

chill, don't fear the childish hocus pocus, when I was a kid I had a black board with the alphabet and 0-9 around it, just like a ouija board so why worry about a bit of wood?

Sounds like it would be a rather ugly ornament.
