Yes, the Mini 14 and the Mini 30 are rifles made by ruger. the Mini 14 fires a .223 round and i think the mini 30 is a 7.62X39 mm round.

Both are very popular as "Project guns" because of the wide aray of aftermarket parts and accesories available for them.

Yes they are real but are "either or," rather than Mini-14/Mini-30.

Both are made by Ruger. The Mini-14 has been around the longest and is a semi-automatic carbine chambered for the 5.56 NATO round (commonly known as the .223 Remington).

The Mini-30 came later and is patterned after the Mini-14 but chambered for the more potent 7.62x39 "Russian, or Commie" round used by the AK-47. The 7.62x39 is actually a .30 caliber bullet. To convert from milli-meters to American calibration multiply the 7.62 by 4. The number following the 'x' merely gives you the case length of the bullet. Example: the .308 Winchester is: 7.62x51 (NATO).

Yes they are real firearms. They are called "mini" because they are carbines (smaller in size and bullet caliber) of the M-14 which was a military rifle in the '50s. But it does see some rare service today as a sniper rifle.

Yes they are real. Made by Sturm, Ruger and Company. I have two mini-14s and one mini-30. They are two fine rifles. I also have several other Ruger firearms that are very nice.
