This is more of a poll than a need for info. I was just wondering about what others do. I stopped saying my son's age in months when he was about 18 months and I was going back an foth between 18 m and a year and a half. From that point until his birthday I just told people that he was almost 2. Now I only still use months when I'm talking about developmental issues and months seem important.
How do others think of it? I have heard many people use it up to 3 yrs/36 months and I even heard one mother talking about her 60 month old.
Just curious.

I will stop with mine at 2, he is 20 mo right now, and I switch back and forth between saying almost 2 and 20 mo. before 2 each month actually makes a lot of difference, but after that it doesnt really matter if they are 28 mo or 31 mo.....

I think it varies for every person but I personally would (and will) stop somewhere between 18 and 24 months...definitely not past 2 years old

It doesn't matter - some people want to be exact but saying almost a year when they are 10 or 11 months is no big deal.
It probably depends on how your parents did it.

After the first birthday I always referred to them by the closest year. Their 21 and 19 in case you are curious.

I stoped around 18 months, except for medical devolpment also.
Plus it's easier for the kid.

I think I'll stop going by months once my daughter hits about 24 months.
