NEVER paint your celings white.. even though so many people do. The only time you should do that is if the entire room is alreay white.. and hopefully it won't be a stark white. To make your room appear larger paint the ceiling the same as your walls.. or at least in the same color family. One other option is to paint three walls one color and the remaining wall and ceiling a contrasting color. Be imaginative.. be bold... be nervy... you'll most likely love your results.. if you don't... it's only paint and another $20 to redo it for new results... Good Luck

I am not sure what you are asking...most people prefer white on the ceiling. If the walls are a light color, I just paint my ceilings the same color. It adds drama. Remember your ceiling is also a wall too!

Wow, you should make your question more detailed. That said, putting color on the ceiling rather than the same old white is a good idea. If the walls are light green or creamy yellow, a very light blue (with white crown molding) would look great.

If you have a ceiling tha't under 10 feet high, go for a pure white. It will make it look higher. If you have high ceilings (12 feet and higher), paint any color that suits your mood.

add 10-20% of wall color to celiing white. This cuts down on the sharp contrast of wall to ceiling. It also makes your wood trim pop more.
