I wouldnt weigh myself if I were you. If you are working out vigorously, you will gain weight instead of loose weight--especially at first. Muscle weighs more than fat, so the scale is really not a good indication of what kind of physical shape you are in. Base your judgements on how you feel--first and foremost. If you are unsure how your fitness/diet program is doing, ask a close friend. They should be able to give you an honest answer. Also, yes your clothes may be a good indication of how you are toning up.

From past experience I would say do not weigh. For me that was the fastest way to sabotage myself. If I saw that I was losing weight I would start eating more right away and defeat the purpose. If I wasn't losing weight fast enough, according to the scale, I would develop a defeatist attitude and start eating and say "Oh why bother". The best way for me, at least, is to go by how my clothes fit and whether or not my breasts could hold a pencil underneath by themselves. I'm pretty flat chested and when they could hold a pencil, I was overweight. If I stuck to those two rules, I was ok. I do think that once you get to your ideal weight, it is a good idea to weigh yourself every day to make sure you're not gaining again, and if you are, make the small adjustments in diet or up your exercise. Its easier to lose a little weight than a lot. If I didn't weight myself after I lost as much weight as I wanted, it would creep back on until .....the pencil, you know!

I used to weigh myself everyday or even 3 or 4 times a day and absolutely obsess over it. I try now to weigh myself just once every 2 weeks and record it. Sometimes I'll slip up and do it more often but I'm much better than I used to be.
For me, I need to know if I'm making progress or not. But for some people, just feeling like they are making changes is good enough for them. Decide what you need--if to be successful in your diet you need to see the pounds coming off, then weigh yourself at set intervals. If you are ok with just feeling differences in your clothing and the way you look in the mirror, then skip the scale altogether!
Good luck.

I weight myself frequently throughout the day - I know what I'm eating & what exercise I'm doing & have general expectations.
But I know things like eating salt will cause me to retain fluid & not lose weight - or even put 1/2 a pound back on.
My latest area I'm working on is packet spice mixes - they have quite a bit of sodium. So I'm trying to do with those a bit & see if that helps.
But if you are exercising & know you are eating fewer calories than you burn - weigh yourself whenever - but don't get too upset if you don't see eactly what you want.
P.S. Lost 32 pounds in 2 months so far - another 40 pounds to go before Xmas.

I would choose not to weigh myself constantly. Some people lose faster than others and it might discourage you. Weigh yourself about every 10 days. You are right about the clothing. Sometimes the clothing will be the first clue to weight loss and if you weigh yourself, it might not show that you have lost yet. This happened to me.

It really depends on what type of person you are. Some people find it motivating to check the scale daily, while for others its just frusterating. That said, the best advice is to find out what works well for you. Try out the scale every couple days, if that doesnt work for you "scale" back and check every few weeks. Weight loss is all about burning more calories than you take in, so if you are following that extremely simplified idea, the scale should be a good tool to regularly assess your weight loss.

I prefer not to weigh...You obsess if you didn't lose any weight and get really mad. Go by your clothes and only weigh yourself every 2-3 weeks.
I don't weigh myself anymore.

What I do is I work out for a couple weeks and then weigh myself. If you weigh yourself too much you'll get depressed. But if you weigh yourself only once a month you won't give up too fast.
